*20241116 10AM PST: “Arrr! Witchy Kitty Pirate King here! We will be following up on our Rainbow Diplomacy efforts! I'm told we should visit Alder to discuss the Bee Prophecy and related things, so yarr, seems like a good place to start. We also have our new friends from the Verminate and our Spriggin allied uhh mercenaries err... special advisors to the Verminate. The Verminate will need more shiny things for the rainbow generator, so bring shiny things, sunstones and gems of any kind are specially needed. Probably bring them snacks too, what is the food equivalent of the shiniest gem? Bring the answer to that question please. For our Spriggin friends..... yarr just bring coins for them. The Witchy Kitty Pirate King of Lok'Groton will make a substantial donation and the Forces of Whimsy would surely look very kindly upon a large gift of coins from Puddleby. Lastly, time permitting, yarr we got this very bad darshak priest man named Endrondus, he is a very bad man and for the good of the island chain, he gots to go. He needs to die for his many crimes going back centuries, definitely not because we built a rainbow generator and gave it to sentient vermine right in front of him. We totally didnt do that... and if we did it was on purpose and part of a much larger plan in accordance with The Gorvin Mandate regarding the Darshak Cult. *20241005 10AM PDT: Lore Tour returns this Saturday to the shadow garden in the haunted fane. After all the extra trips we made, we now believe that we may have enough dream fragments to grow the tree even bigger! Nothing could possibly go wrong as the seed was freely given! We'll likely need a strong group to ensure the success of this endeavor so make sure to show up. | *20241005 10AM PDT: Lore Tour returns this Saturday to the shadow garden in the haunted fane. - Letter to Giben at Fountfell
- Giben - The state of things in regard to my steel visions, in which I know that you are supremely interested, and our subsequent discoveries beneath Melabrion Bay is this, as far as can be as yet conjectured. The ceiling ore is steel and lead alloyed, and delivery of ingots of what I refer to here as ‘litharge’ has been secured to skilled metalworkers in Fountfell, said ingots being alloy and bone ash. The ingots are stamped with a Dwarven symbol for Earth, for lead, and a sword, referencing steel. You may share my skepticism as to virtue of the litharge to us, as warriors – boluses for slings? will we have boots of lead, for stamping vermine, or fighting on the sea floor? Recall our schooling in philology – I believe the litharge stamp to be a specifier of the Champion in the ancient language of the Even Shorter Dwarves.
- I call upon you to join me this approaching Saturday for Lore Tour, and I will make the same demand upon all Puddlebeans. Saturday, then, we lead with steel and follow with lead. We shall make a concerted expedition to this Fountfell, this mountain beyond the History of Salandra, and there turn speculation into knowledge. — Titus Kojiro DeLouche St. Thoomingnon, Lord Seaforth

- 20240810: Proclamation from the Pirate King:
- Arrr, so a Rumorstorm has informed me that my brother, local traveling non-darshak pirate blood conjurer Reekfoot has gotten married and did not invite me due to his unhappiness at placing 3rd in the 420th Regional Dance Offs.
I am told from a presumably reliable source that Rumorstorm heard that Reekfoot has indeed married some Darshak of some amount of renown.
FURTHERMORE, I heard tell that Reekfoot NOW wants an audience with us, the Citizens of Puddleby
What's gonna go down? I dunno, there is a lot of information flying around, what has everyone else heard? Cuz I heard the UoP Janitors totally murdered the dance floor at the reception.
I also heard we are going to do GREAT! - 7 word summaries:
- Reekfoot makinup fer sumting, bloo peel, PROFIT!
- Killing Darshaks for Profit, or for Reekfoot...
- Arrr, so a Rumorstorm has informed me that my brother, local traveling non-darshak pirate blood conjurer Reekfoot has gotten married and did not invite me due to his unhappiness at placing 3rd in the 420th Regional Dance Offs.
- 20240803: oh uh, Lore Tour: We're fighting Shadow Plane nihilism. Which is, obviously, the worst kind of nihilism. — Ausrine
- 20240727: It almost time again! On July 27th at 11AM (PDT) we'll be hearing Aurelie audition for Questership und thus hear lots of new music you certainly don't want to miss out on! Also, rumour has it, there is a surprise waiting to be revealed at or around the concert!
- 20240720: Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 20, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we plan to follow up on some strange new apparitions sighted during a recent visit to the Shadowplane. Was it a one-off sighting? We'll need strong fighters and would welcome mystics, especially those with a sun lantern. If we don't have enough mystical support, we may go mad and climb the walls or gnaw off each others' limbs. — Phroon
- 20240713: Lore Tour Saturday July 13th and 10AM PDT: The Romanus Mystery
- An intriguing cold case file came to light in the last month. During the bank counter heist Romanus was killed—or was he? We need to ascertain whether Romanus was always a shadow guild agent that exiles killed, or was he replaced by an agent. Judging by the events as recorded by the PPD, Romanus wouldn’t have helped the exiles if he was simply a shadow guild agent. Assuming that is true, If he is alive, and was captured by shadow guild agents, then we have to find where they are keeping him. Given the roster of Puddleby Police Department is down to 2 active members — myself & lieutenant deputy of puns, Pun’isher. We need all able citizens to help us crack this case. — Sheriff Noivad
- 20240706: Lore Tour Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 6, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we plan to travel to Fountfell and Silversnag Ascent to follow up on clues about the history of Mataline's Silver Key.
- 20240629: Next bard concert will be Saturday June 29th at 11AM pacific time, featuring the return of @Bingro and hopefully @Fantasia too! If I did this right, this should be your local time: Saturday, June 29, 2024 11:00 AM (PDT).
- 20240622: Lore Tour continues Saturday, June 22, 2024 10:00 AM. — Phroon
- 20240615:Lore Tour continues Saturday, June 15, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we will be traveling with the mysterious Orchid into Fane to show her the sapling that has been growing in the Shadowy garden there. It is our hope that she will be able to lend us some clarity as to what might happen if we continue to foster the tree’s growth. As usual, strong help would be useful, Rinakki isn’t the most welcomed in Fane anymore and will need our help in reaching the garden. — Phroon
- 20240608: Lore Tour returns Saturday, June 8, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we will be visiting with Rinakki to discuss the newly planted seeds growing in the Fane Shadowgarden and the Shadowplane Protectorate. — Phroon
- 20240601: Lore Tour returns Saturday, June 1, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we will travel into Fane and check in on the shadowy garden within. — Phroon
- 20240518: Greetings! Have any of you been experiencing a strong pull to go to the shadowplane during the lore tour this weekend? Im sure there has to be a reason behind this alluring humming I keep hearing. It's causing me to have some very strong feelings, a sort of yearning to go where I belong. Would you folks be willing to check it out? We should speak with the Evenas and any of those who follow the Way of the Candle and ask if they have experienced this in the past. There's almost no chance of anything bad happening. Feel free to bring your brooms just in case though. — Brisk
- Normal time, Saturday, May 18, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT).
- Soul Hunter summary: Shadowplane. Lotsa lore, some tour. Good things only.
- 20240511: Lore Tour continues Saturday, May 11, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This week we plan to help Pavela’s contact Five on Ash disrupt the Darshak supply lines.
- 20240504: Lore Tour returns Saturday, May 4, 2024 10:00 AM. This week we plan to travel meet with Pavela and then travel to Ash to do what we usually in Ash City. Darshak be warned. — Phroon
- 20240427: Bard concert coming soon! We'll be back in the guild hall this weekend so questers can play too if they want. Hope to see you there this Saturday 11AM PDT.
- 20240420: xLore Tour continues Saturday, April 20, 2024 10:00 AM. For a date this special, Stinkfist has sent the following plan:
- Lore Tour: The 420th Randomly-Timed Regional Lok'Groton Championship Dance Off
- Yarr so apparently it is indeed time for Regionals. You may have noticed the various established dance crews practicing in the book fort's new Arboretum! You also may have been at the last lore tour where Reekfoot showed up and totally served Puddleby in an attempt to demoralize and psych us out before Regionals.
- So what ARE Regionals? Why is this the first I'm hearing about this?
- It’s a dance off obviously. I dunno, that isn't for me to say, seems like a you thing but I am told it goes back to the "Times of the Ancients" or something.
- But to explain anyways so we can establish THE RULES and THE PRIZES
- Each dance crew will perform one dance routine which will be judged by a panel of highly qualified judges. The judges will score each performance. After every crew has performed there will be an audience vote, which is what actually matters, this is just the way the Ancients did things. I don't pretend to understand why judges if a popular vote determines who wins, I didn't make up the rules, I'm just officiating them.
- Cheating! Is oddly legally allowed by the rules. So we should expect Reekfoot to try and pull SOMETHING devious and probably violent in an attempt to win.
- The rules also state that ANYONE can enter solo or as a crew and individuals are technically allowed to be in multiple dance crews if they choose.
- THE PRIZES:
- 1st Prize: Ownership of an empty hut of your choosing in the West Phisney Island Outpost neighborhood. Decorate as you please! + A Big Box of Book Fort Swag + 200k to split amongst your dance crew
- 2nd Prize: 1 very large pile of coins (100k) + A Big Box of Book Fort Swag
- 3rd Prize: A big box of book fort swag + a reasonably nice pile of coins (50k)
- Where are we dancing off at? The Puddleby Player's Theater in West Puddleby
- When again? 10am PDT on Saturday the 4/20th
- Who are the judges again? Famed local residents of Lok'Groton who we are friendly with and your Pirate King, who is a judge purely to prevent Reekfoot from winning.
- Last place will be awarded personalized Odius Ode courtesy of Pun'isher.
- 20240413: Lore Tour continues Saturday, April 13, 2024 10:00 AM: Lore Tour: The Phisney Island Follow Up
- Arrr! Pirate King Witchy Kitty and Magician Majesticos Stinky here again to tell you all about what awesome thing we will be doing next.
- First up, we got some Direbears to welcome to Phisney Island and say Rawr hey tharr to! That'll be nice, for bears are our friends!
- Since they are usually close by, we should probably go and let the Sarir know what has been going on.
- Then, we got some loose ends to tie up, starting with Pavela, Kestrel's Spy on the island that we so generously allowed to walk last we were there. We will need to deal with her in some fashion. There are ideas of how to do this being floated.
- Lastly.. we got that Abyss tainted Darshak mini-temple that Venables hid in to deal with. So we are going to test some of Katpus and the Janitor's research regarding rainbow death/life cannons on it.
- So yarr, we are going to blast the crap out it with rainbows powered by cutting edge magical science and the awesome knowledge of the University of Puddleby! Go Science!
- I’m sure we'll learn something from the test. So yarr we are probably gonna need some mystics and other sources of sun energy and sunbeams for this! Also if ya got any rubies, sapphires, or even topaz bring them! Also sun zu! That seems helpful!
- A responsible ethereal trained mystic would be appreciated as we will be unleashing large amounts of rainbows near an active kyeum but science hasnt proven any ill effect of rainbows on things ethereal but it is yarr like wise to keep an eye on such things just to be safe!
- Soul Hunter's TLDR: Bears, Sarir, Haha Spy, Rainbow Blast Abyssness!
- 20240406: Lore Tour returns Saturday, April 6, 2024 10:00 AM. This time we will delve into the Book Fort! — Phroon
- 20240403: The v1375 update is scheduled for Wednesday 3 April 2024. —Phroon
- 20240330: This month's concert is about a week away: Saturday, March 30, 2024 11:00 AM (PST). It's been a while since we've heard any organ music, so we're thinking of having it at Lugubrion's Keep (assuming that we can find someone to open for us). Hope to see you there!
- 20240323: Lore Tour continues Saturday, March 23, 2024 10:00 AM, we have the following message from Stinkfist:
- Black flags have been spotted on the ocean!
- Lets go steal their stuff!
- Cuz iz my birfday!
- Arr!
- The Witchy Kitty Pirate King Magician Majesticos Cap'n Stinky
- 20240316: Lore Tour continues Saturday, March 16, 2024 10:00 AM (PST). This time we will return to the Shadowplane to continue our investigations and check out of the shadowbears have been up to anything. As usual, strong help would be appreciated. —Phroon
- 20240309: Lore Tour continues Saturday, March 9, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT)! Summary from Stinkfist:
- Arrr here ye here ye!
- We will be heading to the Phisney Island Outpost for the signing of a historic treaty!
- Our local notary Brisk will preside over the signing of this treaty. Surely this will go smoothly and without any snags or unknown unknowns, as Brisk has one job and yarr!
- So come! Sign this most historical treaty and hang out with our Allies!
- Soul Hunter's TLDR: Brisk, Phisney Island, fancy paper, sign it!
- 20240302: March 2nd, 10AM PDT: Arrr! Hear this declaration from the Pirate King: This Saturday will mark one "finally" off our calendar — deposing the so-called leader of the Darshak on Phisneyland Island, Penn Venables.
- Penn's been hiding in his half-built temple for decades now since we repeatedly shamed him in battle. Based on a tip we got from a dead Darshak, we learned he'll be out and about and vulnerable during this week's Lore Tour. We were told to be careful because of his weapons of mass destruction.
- Ambassador Gorvin tells us that letting his ethereal doomsday devices blow everything up is bad and we should prevent this at all costs, so we're going to be super careful as we wreck this guy and steal his stuff. We probably won't sink the whole island into the sea. Our magic is better than his. We have bards, bears, beer, bees, a catapult, and a super cool ocean witch.
- Soul Hunter summary: Kill bad Darshak leader, no explode island.
- 20240224: Next week's bard concert will also feature Supplanter's audition for bard quester! Please come to the guild hall on Saturday, February 24, 2024 11:00 AM to cheer him on! — Coriakin (Master Bard)
- 20240217: Lore Tour continues Saturday, February 17, 2024 10:00 AM. Stinkfist has passed on the following plan for this week to set up for the upcoming confrontation with Venables:
- Arrr,
- Attention: As per our intel provided by the Door-Hench Diebeer with a K, the Darshak will be up to something in two zodiacs time now on TI.
- Working with our agent the Immortal Sasour the Hatchet†, who we previously liberated from Venables Camp. We will be laying the groundwork for rebellion and ending Venables grasp on Phisneyland Island forever and foiling Kestrel's plans at the same time.
- As cover for this operation, we will also be stealing a great deal of stuff.
- † Sasour the Hatchet was purged of abyssal influence via rainbows and then made immortal by Ausrine and her hat that she isnt wearing. Also he touched Puddleby's altar. Also Ausrine turned him into a blind amphibian with a gilded broom a few times. He is magically oathbound to Puddleby. He be cool.
- Soul Hunter Summary: Save Phisneyland, prepare for victory, plunder booty.
- 20240210: **Lore Tour** continues February 10 at 10AM (PDT). This time we plan to head to **Ash Island** to fight some Darshak. Kestrel’s doorman has enjoyed his post for quite some time, I’m sure Ambassador Gorvin will help him with that.—Phroon
- For this tour we will be needing the assistance of weather controlling mystics (preferably multiple).—Gorvin
- 20240203:Lore Tour (Saturday, February 3, 2024 10:00 AM PDT) will involve taking Bravery The Org to the org sanctuary on Centaur Island. For anyone not familiar, Bravery is a young org that Stinkfist rescued from being abandoned at Junko's and decided to teach to be a hero. He begain taking it on his adventures to teach what he could, and has also asked several other exiles to escort Bravery around to show him the world. After many zodiacs of mentoring the time has come to release Bravery into his new home!
- 20240120: **Lore Tour** continues January 20, at 10AM PST. This time we plan to return to the **Shadowplane** and continue our exploration there! As usual, strong help would be appreciated.
- 20240113: **Lore Tour** continues <t:1705168800:F>. This time we plan to do a few things surrounding the **Org Sanctuary**, starting with a visit to the Ensconcement Village to tell them about the success setting up the sanctuary, a stop by the Org Cave for some Panther Caps, and then swing over to Centaur to drop off any mushrooms we find and to deliver the presents we picked up during the Bawkmas tour to thank them for all their efforts setting up the sanctuary.
- 20240106: Lore Tour returns Saturday, January 6, 2024 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we plan to kick things off by paying a visit to the Shadowguild and seeing what they’ve been up to. I’m sure that ambassador Gorvin will help us navigate the situation with skill.

Location of the meeting is on the platform of the Foghaven Monastery. All exiles are invited to join.
- For that meeting, please let us move the purple portal to OP (and green at town) at least on that day... unless we think we can handle having the portal at **outside** of Foghaven Monastery.
- Also I'd like to ask supports from our capable fighters, healers and flute players for safe travel to Foghaven Monastery and back for all exiles who wants to join the meeting on the day.
- 20231118: Lore Tour continues Saturday, November 18, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we will be returning to the Shadowplane to continue our exploration there. As usual, strong help would be appreciated.
- 20231111: Lore Tour continues Saturday, November 11, 2023 10:00 AM (PST). This time we will be returning to Shadowspring Citadel! It’s been a while so we hope to check on things there especially the Agronox seal to the and how the Page of Rend that sent us to the Shadowplane there reacts to us visiting again, as well as some of the crumbly stairs deep within. This will be a difficult trip, so strong help (and your friends that know Horus well) would be appreciated. While we’re at it, we’ll have to see if Pelaegia is interested in a trip back and maybe see if there’s anything we can do to help her with the repairs.
- 20231104: Lore Tour returns Saturday, November 4, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we will be checking out the Org Sanctuary.
- 20231021: Lore Tour continues Saturday, October 14, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we will having a spooky time with a Feast of Tsrrin theme. — Phroon
- 20231014: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 10AM (PDT) Lore Tour: The Prime Orb of Unstable Infinity
- Yarrr! By now you've surely read my excellent guide Orbs of Unstable Infinity and You. It is very illuminating:
- But what is better than an excellent guide? The real thing. I think we can get Tart'targ to help us find it.
- First, some history. Me chief gunner and good matey Garr has a long and terrifying history of humiliating the Darshak. For instance, this time when Garr just burned the Thaumaturge and his minions to death.
- As you can read in the comments there, long ago I made a note "Loots for Garr. Pirates rule!"
- In the years since that battle, I, the Pirate King of Lok'Groton, have searched for the perfect reward for saving a whole plane of existence against the jerk that tried to merge us with the ether (also just… showing up and kickin' ass with the Pirates since the start). Gotta find some GOOD loot for that!
- During one of my astral projection explorations I finally found it. It was an Orb. An Orb just full of Unstable AND Infinity, and I just knew, in my heart of Pirate Kingly hearts, that I needed to see what exactly Garr would do with this.
- I got back to Puddleby and thought, "Ya know, this thing is really dangerous if someone like the Brions or someone got their hands on it." So I hid it and gave Tart'targ the clues to how to find it. Cuz safety first!
- Arr, anyways, enough really fascinating history of Garr bein' awesome and me astral projecting. For the Lore Tour, we will gather in town and wait for Tart'targ to show up and bring us the clues to where I hid the Orb for safekeeping. We will then go on an adventure to retrieve the Orb from the very safe and very logical place to hide an artifact of unstable infinity. Then, later we will find out how Garr chooses to use his great power (and the Orb) with great responsibility.
- Yarr! Join us as we celebrate Garr and I try and make good on a decades old note!
- There will likely be time for people with Lesser Orbs (yarr, those have been turning up lately) to use said Lesser Orbs. Even lesser ones are probably best used under the supervision of trained Witches and Magicians. This is definitely not like the time with the soul glasses, why would you even think that?
- The Pirate King is not entirely responsible for any uses or side effects of the Orbs that results in harm to an exile or our plane of existence. Hopefully, any such cases will be super duper funny. The disclaimer in my guide to orbs of unstable infinity apply here too.
- Soul Hunter version:
- IOU note to Garr. Magic orbs. Treasure hunt!
- 20231007: Lore Tour returns Saturday, October 7, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we plan to return to the Shadowplane and continue our exploration there. As usual, a strong group would be appreciated.
- 20230927: This is the 18th year since Tyndall passed away. He was loved by many in life, and is remembered both as a cherished friend and a Puddlebean legend.
- Every year, we mark this time and come together in order to celebrate the lives of friends that we’ve lost over the years: Xenos & Panos, Baffina & Baffette, Tyndall, Tonoto, Eyeball, and K’pyn.
- Please join us to share memories, whiskey, cigars, beer, songs, and bonfires in the Memorial Garden outside Alliance Castle on September 27, 2023 7:00 PM.
- Whether you’re a constant presence, you've been in the library for a while, or you’re somewhere in between, we’d really love to see you. Please also reach out to friends who might not see this message – we’d love to see them, too.
- 20230927: The next Healer Hunt will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 5:30 PM This hunt is for healers and their pets. All are welcome: bring your pet…
- 20230923: Ok, so lore tour this week… bearing in mind the captain has tasked me with fixing the planes… AGAIN… I have been struggling if we should go to Geharza or not. Barely by a slim margin I have been convinced (with the help of bribes) to bear arms and go back to the ice caves (But if we run into loose Tipulids again I won’t complain.) So… it turns our that SOMEONE decided to teach the bears how to use altars… (I’m totally not looking at you Inu) and now we have to bear the burden of killing cursed bare bears, cursed armored bears, and cursed bears that need to learn that vowels are a thing. So we’ll head back to the ice caves this week, and this time we’ll need a permanent broom bearer to sweep the bear out of the evil bears and the bear out of the shadow touched Inus. That’s step one. Step two is to have Bearo and Raksbeara and Punibear to convince the evil bears not to be so evil and to double our bear guard on our totally peaceful and not destructive rainbow death cannon. Once that is done we need to try and un-bear curse that altar in ice caves. Normally we’d just tell the Gorvbot to break the altar even more, but it sounds like some people want to fix the altar so they can learn more PF ranks from not ghost Gaiyl… Final step is loot… There better be loot Stinky…..
- For Soul Hunter… Bears again… Murder again… Inu’s fault… Loot!!!
- 20230916: Lore Tour: Sat 10am pacific
- RAAAAAAAWRRRRRRRR RA-ROOAAAARRRRRRRRRR Rawr-BEARRRROOOOOOO
- Rawr-rawr-ROAR-rawr-rawwrrrr-snarl.
- ROAR! RAWR! ROOOOOAAAARRRR!!! RAwr-RA-raWR!! ROAR ROAR ROAR!!!!!!!
- [bear snort]
- THE GREAT BEAR SPIRIT'S CUB BIRO WILL FEED ON THE WEAK BODIES OF THE SHADOWS WHO HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO BE BEARS AND SHOW THEM HOW TO BE BEARS AGAIN.
- BRING YOURSELF HONOR, CONQUER FEAR, SPILL SHADOW BLOOD, SEND NOT-BEARS BACK INTO THE DARK.
- For Soul Hunter: Rawr vs Those who pretend to be Rawr!
- 20230909: Lore Tour: The Darshak Candidate
- Arrr, here ye here ye, yarr good. Garr... write this down...
- So for some time Kestrel has stated her goal is to establish a new unifying leader of the local Darshak. One way or another, the cult will put someone in charge. An like, ta be honest, all their candidates suck. Creepy Thoom Guy sucks, Rebel Guy sucks, Venables sucks, Necro sucks, all the Darshak nobles suck. So yarr, why don't we make our own?
- So we're gonna kidnap Sasour the Hatchet as he is easily the chillest Darshak we know. We invited him to the Counterheist and he got drunk and laughed at the Shadowguild getting slain in the streets. He's perfect.
- Then probably do some magic to make sure he is a "Force of Abyss Smiting Justice for Puddleby"
- Now this is a complex plan with a lot of ins and outs and such that I will make...er.. explain as we go!
- And to really sell that we are indeed kidnapping Sasour instead of just being like "hey what's up buddy? wanna go drink?" we're gonna need to kill lots and lots of Darshak on our way... Maybe break or take anything that looks important, I dunno, ye do ye in that regard.
- Side benefits: Sasour the Hatchet is likely to know things about Venables' secret weapon the Sarir are so afraid of. Knowledge that may help us devise some sort of counter measure against this "island destroying weapon" at least that's what the Sarir said it was.
- Maybe we could goad Venables into destroying..........
- The Pirate King just kinda wandered off rambling at this point about various schemes weighing the pros and cons of tricking Venables into just blowing up the island and calling it "problem solved"
- For Soul Hunter:
- Kidnap, Friend, Magic, Murder Darshak, Magic, Scheme, Lulz
- 20230902: Per captain Stinky: This week on Lore Tour (Saturday September 2nd at 10AM PDT)
- Adventures in Magical Super Science:
- While Katpus and the highly trained researchers from the University of Puddleby (they're definitely not janitors) were conducting super scientific experiments in the Castle Alliance, they may or may not have blown a hole in reality. Katpus seems a bit embarrassed about it, so we don't need to make it into a big deal.
- Whatever may have happened, Katpus' researchers have gone missing, and so have the bears who were guarding her laboratory. In a probably unrelated coincidence, a respectable and probably wealthy individual has shown up claiming some important artifacts have gone missing. There are two mysteries to be investigated and almost certainly booty to be had. For science!
- Soul Hunter Version:
- Portal, Mystery, Bears, Booty
- 20230819: **Lore Tour** continues. This time we plane to head to **Fane** and investigate the shadow garden growing there, and perhaps see if the crooked seed we received in the Shadowplane takes root there. If that seed eventually grows and bears fruit, the hope is it will enable us to repair the Windweft altar and restore their connection to Purgatory. As Fane is a very dangerous place, a strong group would be appreciated.
- 20230812: Lore Tour continues Saturday, August 12, 2023 10:00 AM PDT. This time we plan to continue our investigations into repairing the Ice Cave Altar. We’re thinking of visiting with Pelaegia who we last left in Fountfell Foghaven, and then head over to the Windweft Ice Cave and see if the mysterious gift from the crooked tree in the Shadowplane leads us towards any success in recreating the Ancient’s shadow magic that created the altars.
- 20230805: Lore Tour Saturday August 5, 2023 at 10AM (PDT): Hello! It is I, fake Phroon [Brisk], coming to you with an update on Lore Tour this zodiac! It'll be August 5th at the same time as usual. We are planning on trying to visit Nylar to hear of this deal that his minions mentioned that he has for "Sapeeva". For good measure, we hope to bring a "Sapeeva" or close approximation with us. We may need to fight, we may need to bribe, or we may need to gamble. Whatever it is, it's sure to be a good time so come on out if you are free. Cheers!
- 20230722: Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 22, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT), this time we plan to pay another visit to the Org Cave and see if we can make some progress in becoming friends with the Org. We also plan to continue our investigations into the strange weather in the Ensconcement, and see if perhaps we can find a route up to Stormlyric.
- 20230715: Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 15, 2023 10:00 AM to return to the Shadowplane, to revisit the protectorate and maybe see if we can find more clues of how Shaer travels the plane freely. As usual, a strong group will be needed!
- 20230708: Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 8, 2023 10:00 AM PDT, this time we return to the Shadowplane, to visit the protectorate and then to seek the devourer of dreams. As usual, a strong group will be necessary for the trek through this dangerous plane.
- If do we manage to slay the dreamdrinker, we plan to return again to the shadowplane next week too (Saturday, July 15, 2023 10:00 AM PDT) and revisit the protectorate within the same chaos storm, and maybe see if we can find more clues of how Shaer travels the plane freely. So mark your calendars for two weeks of back-to-back shadowplane exploration!
- 20230705: The v1336 update: Lightning and thunder require time, the light of the stars requires time, deeds require time even after they are done, before they can be seen and heard. — Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)
- More intense weather arriving. Those with elaborate hair-dos or delicate umbrellas can limit certain effects by using the /options strongWeather off command.
- 20230701: Hello Puddleby! I come to you tonight as a guest "Phroon". I am in need of some assistance during the Lore Tour this weekend. You see, Tart'targ the wisest witch, had asked us to keep an eye on Sombrion. This has been fairly difficult for me as my eyesight is extremely poor and his keep hovers so high in the sky. However, even my peepers couldn't miss the addition of one of Sombrion's Sarir at the Bison Plains outpost. I'm not saying we need to tattle but we NEED to tell Tart'targ about this. Who knows? Maybe we will see a Witch and a Wizard face off? That wouldn't be terrible. I will be collecting bets and will even go as far as giving a favorable 2 to 1 odds on the Wizard. Anywho, don't be late to this one! You won't want to miss a moment! — Brisk
- Lore Tour took a trip to see Tart'targ and inform her of the Sarir being in the bison plains outpost, Hygra I think was the name. She was not so concerned with this as long as it did not come out that Sombrion was the cause of the abnormal weather that Hygra was studying. We discussed the trip with Pelaegia to Foghaven and how we saw shapes in the fog and heard howling on the wind. She mentioned that Andrachnea, the Abbess of Stormlyric, is known for being a bit standoffish even for witches. We spoke of how Andrachnea disapproved of Forsythia's study of the Org and remembered that we may have left her in the Orga Stronghold. We began to leave to go rescue her and ran into a bit of an issue.
- All of a sudden a Shadowguild Thief knocked me over...I thought he was looking for the bets I was collecting for the Witch vs Wizard duel. We chased them across the estuary and then ran across much stronger friends of the thieves. It looked like some of them had flown into the area on balloons to lead the rest of them. You could tell some were just taking orders and trying to take out as many of us as possible but others seemed to be more interested in a single thing, a thoom. We protected Coriakin the best we could but when he fell he was not taken. Confused, we pressed on until clearing the majority of the shadowguild. We cornered a leader and he said that they were looking for "Sapeeva". His reinforcements came and we tried to corner him again but eventually he managed to find a balloon and escape. As he was leaving he told us that he had a message for us to deliver..."Tell Sapeeva Nylar will cut him a deal." — Brisk
- 20230624: The next bard concert is on June 24th at 11AM pacific time. Hope to see you there!
- 20230617: Lore Tour returns Saturday, June 17, 2023 10:00 AM PDT, this time we plan to investigate the mysterious (and mist-erious) fog seen throughout the Eastern Mountains. We’ll probably also pay Pelaegia a visit and see what she has to say about these mists. We’ll likely be heading to Foghaven, the mountain haven of fog, so an appropriately strong group would be appreciated.
- 20230610: **Lore Tour** returns 10AM PDT, this time we plan to travel deep into to the Orga Stronghold to rescue the Org trapped there! We may take them back to the Org Cave, or they may be the first residents of the new Org Sanctuary on Centaur Island. We may also pop over and have a visit with Trillbane while we’re in the neighborhood. A stronger group would be appreciated.
- 20230603: Rustles out from under a pile of library books, glances at calendar Lore Tour at normal time this weekend (June 3rd, 10AM PDT). Plan is to poke at some of the dark mirrors in the lands and see if we can learn anything about Shaer's Gate.
- 20230520: Lore Tour continues Saturday, May 20, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). We plan to return again to the Shadowplane to continue our explorations there. As usual, a strong group would be very helpful.
- 20230513: Lore Tour! Operation: Friendship Hammer (10am pacific, usual lore tour time) We've reached a critical stage of the plan to create the Org Sanctuary... we must get some Orgs big and small to trust us enough to get in some cages and be brought to Centaur Island.... So how do we do that?
- I’m unsure but I bet that super cool ocean witch Pelaegia knows a thing or two about it! An she has been wanting to get out and about more so, this seems like a win/win. Bring Pelaegia to the village/Org caves, listen to tales of Orgs from way back when (and anything else we want to talk to her about) and maybe feed some Orgs some panther caps, perhaps bring some caps back for Tart'targ! Perhaps... make Org friends!
- Now, we should be careful, we've been hitting the Darshak rather hard lately and they have expressed an interest in kidnapping our good super cool ocean witch friend... and Tart'targ has turned some into blind amphibians... so ya know... be vigilant! There is no telling what an uppity visiting Darshak Noble may decide to do to prove how great they are or some such nonsense like that.
- 20230506: Lore Tour: The Great Kennel Caper (Saturday 10am pacific as usual) The Elusive and Illusive Phroon Thoom, Heist and Counter-Heist Master Extraodinaire has a lead on a stockpile of feral cages somewhere on Ash Island. We need cages for our Org Sanctuary to safely transport the Orgs. The Darshak on Ash backed by Gathner have had an easy time lately since our slaying of Dorcas Direstorm as we've been focused on taking Venables down a few notches while keeping the Gathner backed Darshak agents on the island from being able to get the upper hand there..... so depleting the Ash 'Shak's ability to wrangle and train ferals seems like a solid move that furthers our goals quite nicely!
- Now I know what you be thinkin! "Cap'n! What if them cages be cursed??" Well I'm way ahead of you, and with the help of local mystics and my magician prowess, I have most of a ritual planned to purge away any Abyssal taint the cages may have! (If you are a local mystic and would like to help with this ritual, please contact me, your Pirate King and Master Magician).
- Darshak Nobles continue to visit from Gathner, bringing with them their top tier guards, so be on the look out for fancily dressed swabs who need to be shown a quick way to their forever home in the Abyss!
- In summation! Kennel Heist! Plunder any plunder of opportunity! Get home with magically purified loot! Further details to come!
- Bring: Crowbars, vines, chains, a can do attitude, strongest ranger morphs, and anything else you can think of to aid in this endeavor! See you there!
- 20230503: The v1327 update is scheduled for Wednesday 3 May 2023
- 20230429: Next month's bard concert (on April 29th at 11AM PDT) will be a special one. As many of you know, Lugubrion was so affected by the tragic fate of his brother Tenebrion that he's retreated from the world and has become a recluse. As someone who's struggled with depression myself, I've decided to try to help Lugubrion in the hopes that he'll be able to recover from his condition. — Coriakin
- 20230422: Lore Tour continues Saturday, April 22, 2023 10:00 AM (time in your local timezone). This time we plan to return to the Shadowplane. As usual, a strong group would be very helpful. Our plan is to travel to the protectorate through the shadow sea and also to check out if any of the new pages of rend interact with the shadowplane. — Phroon
- 20230415: Lore Tour! (Saturday 10am pacific blah blah blah) Arrrr! This time we will be taking a stroll over to visit Pelaegia and Tart'targ briefly and see if Pelaegia can come out and play! Once we have picked up everyone's favorite Super Cool Ocean Witch, we will make for the Org cave to try and harvest (hopefully) the last of the mushrooms we need for the Org Sanctuary on Centaur Island. I’m sure Pelaegia will be happy to see the Centaur after all these thousands of years! Yarr! This seems pretty straight forward and nothing could possibly go wrong! Definitely! None of our past actions could conceivably come back to haunt us! For suresies! (Anything that does go wrong will be promptly blamed entirely on Trillium's ankh which is full of cursed)
- 20230408: at 2PM (PDT) Saturday April 8th, Clan Lord Open Tactical Hunt (CLOTH) plans to go to the bridge to refine leading and dropping in the right spot and possibly the Slate Caves to practice dodging webs/projectiles. This is open to all, and I encourage newer players to attend, especially if you fall a lot. — Noivad
- 20230408: Lore Tour continues Saturday, April 8, 2023 10:00 AM (PDT). This time we plan to visit The Land of Dank Believe, aka the Book Fort. Bring your imagination and suspend your disbelief, the myrms dug a hole to the sky. — Phroon
- 20230405: v1323. The sky is the daily bread of the eyes. — Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
- Hunt trophies are now furniture.
- Phantasmagorical improvements.
- 20230401: **Lore Tour** returns 10AM PDT. This time we plan to visit with Egremora and Pelaegia in **Fountfell**, hear a few stories and think about what to do next.
- With Cimmbrion's assistance we've been able to grow some water lilies the two brothers created together back during happier times, and their gift has helped raise Lugubrion's spirits a bit. However, he's still embarrassed by the state of his keep, so to help him with that I'm hoping to hire builders from Puddleby to help renovate it. And to raise funds for that, next month I'll be holding a benefit concert at Lugubrion's keep!
- To make this concert special I will finally premiere the suite I've been working on for years: "The Healer's Lament," which attempts to evoke the trials and tribulations of a healer's life. It'll feature at least five brand new pieces, never before performed, and I'm extra excited because Lugubrion has graciously allowed us to not only use his keep for the performance, he's allowing us to use a brand new instrument - an organ from a thoomish temple! It has a sound unlike anything we've heard before, and I'm excited to share the music I (and the other bards) have been writing for it.
- This is a benefit concert, so I will be asking for donations to help with the cause. Building supplies to aid with the renovations would be very useful, and I will be matching any donations of coins (at least until I run out of coins myself). Even if you can't make a donation I hope you can come! I've invited Lugubrion to be there as our guest of honour and every person there would be a show of support to someone in dire need of it.
- Again, it'll be on Sat. April 29th at 11:00 AM PDT at Lugubrion's Keep. I hope to see you there!
— Coriakin
- 8 word summary for Soul Hunter: "New tunes! New Instrument?! Help Lugubrion... donations please!"
- 20230405: The v1323 update is scheduled for Wednesday 5 April 2023.
- 20230325: Hello, all! This month’s concert (on March 25th, 11am pacific time as usual) is themed around Spring. Expect a lot of uplifting music about new beginnings or possibly about getting rained on instead. Either way, should be a good time. — Coriakin
- 20230323: there will also be a very special NNK open hunt adventure on thursday the 23rd at 5pm pacific! Expect various laws including but not limited to physics, nature, and reality to be broken! — Stinkfist
- 20230318: Lore Tour continues Saturday, March 18, 2023 10:00 AM (time in your local timezone). This time we plan to return to Shadowspring to finally deliver Pelaegia’s present! We will need strong help to brave the dangers within. We also need some help between now and the Lore Tour to charge some of the machines to open the way into Shadowspring. — Phroon
- 20230318: *Arrr! Lore Tour Recap! The Shadowplane had indeed shifted in many ways. The ground seemed less bitey, which I blame on Inu and her masterful ambassadorship. Keep hugging them Shadow Trees! Yer doing great! We also discovered a new “cave” which was just full of boo and scary and pretty and confusion.
- Another page of rend was discovered and perhaps most importantly a new phantasm page was found! We only covered a fraction of the Shadowplane so more to find and explore seems very likely! Oh and sadly Brisk failed to do that thing, perhaps next time (we are all rooting for ya buddy!)
- Next lore tour we will (charging nodes permitting) be visiting Shadowspring Citadel to bring Pelaegia her birthday presents! Probably other reasons too, more information and hype coming soon!
- 20230311: Lore Tour continues Saturday, March 11, 2023 10:00 AM PST. This time we will return to the Shadowplane to continue our investigations into the malevolent forces within. We’ve already seen that the shadows have reacted to us, we plan on investigating if they have changed further following our contact with them. We will need many sharp minds, strong fighters, and brave healers to endure the dangers within. — Phroon
- 20230304: Lore Tour returns Saturday, March 4, 2023 10:00 AM PST. This is the day the portal is scheduled to move to the village, so we’re planning on going there to get a mystic a mark. We’ll also check the Org cave for more Panther caps and bring them to the centaur for their work on the Org sanctuary. If we have time we might also do some other stuff too. We’ll be traveling through vale and parts of the ensconcement, so strong help will be helpful. — Phroon
- 20230302: 2023-03-01 v1318 Update: Sometimes we need the fog to remind ourselves that all of life is not black and white.—Jonathan Lockwood Huie (b. 1945)Those who venture north may notice new snell edges being tested. Please share your feedback!
- 20230225: Bard concert this weekend! Saturday Feb 25th at 11AM PST, at the bards’ guild hall in north field. Noivad will be auditioning for full bard again, so come cheer him on! — Coriakin
- 20230224: MediaWiki has been updated to v1.39.2. As usual, please report any unexpected changes.
- 20230218: Lore Tour! Saturday 10am pacific!!Arrrr, we require more lab equipment for constructing the rainbow death/life cannon! We've already stolen the Oh-Venn from Penn Venables, now we return for the rest of his stuff!
- During the Oh-Venn heist we discovered that Venables has been training sciencemancers who can open ethereal portals and shoot mighty blasts of chain lightning. Thus an elaborate and complex scheme is required to get his lab equipment.
- The plan is simple and elaborate, eloquent yet basic. The perfect mix of blunt force and sneakery!
- We will pick a location to "conduct a magical ritual to seal off the island from the ethereal plane" to get his attention and draw him in. Additionally we will tell the local sarir population of Venables' dastardly plans to shackle Tenenbrion's spirit and bend it to his will, which is probably not a complete and total lie.
- Also Kalian and I have a secret weapon up our sleeve should we require it.
- Once Venables' forces are committed to the battle a small rag tag group will break off and sneak into the lab and take everything they possibly can and get out before Venables has time to know what happened.
- Like all great plans, should you have additional ideas feel free to contact myself, Phroony, Kalian, or anyone else who seems like an authority figure for this sort of thing. As always, the plan will be "do all the plans"
- We will need as many exiles as possible to pull this off and there will be no small roles to play in this daring heist!
- Bonus if we can get any notes regarding what Penn has exactly been up to with the ethereal plane. All we know so far is he seems to have access to an isolated sphere of it.
- Be there! — Stinkfist
- 20230216: The Typical End to an Estuary/Mountain/Bison Plains Hunt because we don’t want to spend 100c or fall before the estuary exit. And Punisher Has mad skills falling—Laughing Academy Excellence!
- 20230211: Lore Tour continues Saturday, February 11, 2023 10:00 AM PST. This time we will be continuing to examine mountain springs in Vale and Fountfell, with a possible detour to the Org Caves for some Spotted Panther Caps. These areas, and especially the route to Fountfell, are difficult, so strong help would be helpful. — Phroon
- 20230204: Lore Hunt. Step 1: Bears. Step 2: Tart'targ talk." Step 3: Mountains. The Lore Tour returns with Biro negotiating for bear support, the group asking Tart'targ if a certain plant is okay to plant, and a trip to the mountains to find a place to plant the seeds.
- 20230201: Stinkfist is organizing a raid on Venable's Laboratory at February 1, 2023 7:30 PM. As you may know, Venable is verified ne'er-do-well, who has spent several decades looting Tenebrion's Keep for anything of value and has built himself a reasonably well stocked lab with those ill-gotten gains. Any equipment, Darshak or Wizard in origin, poses a threat to the region if left in the hands of Venable. As such, it is best if it is secured in the safe, respectful, and responsible hands of Puddleby and our resident catapult enthusiast, Katpus. — Ausrine
- 20230201: the v1314 update is scheduled for Wednesday 1 February 2023: Life is found in animals and plants. But in animals it is patent and obvious, whereas in plants it is hidden and not clear. To establish its existence requires considerable research. The question at issue is whether plants have or have not a soul, and a capacity for desire, pain, pleasure, and discrimination. — Aristotle (384–322 BCE)
- You’ll have to explore for this month’s changes.
- 20230128: Reminder! This Saturday at 11 pacific time will be the next concert. This concert will be shadow-themed... bards are encouraged to come with pieces inspired by the shadowplane and its effects. I can confirm that at least three new pieces will be premiered! Anyone who's out of the loop on the shadowplane storyline and is hoping for a recap - this is your chance! — Coriakin
- Note: The shadowplane can make our thoughts reality and affect our minds, and it may have developed an interest in music for, er, reasons not worth getting into at this time. I've been assured that playing a bunch of music themed around the shadowplane is "not necessarily a really bad idea" and the chances of opening a rift there is unlikely. But shadow creatures have appeared at concerts before, so be warned that safety is not guaranteed. And if possible, bring a friend who can monitor you for signs of shadow madness.
- 20230121: Per Stinkfist:
Arrr! In light of recent events set into motion by our favorite Myrm, we will be conducting negotiations with the Centaur to construct an Org sanctuary on their fair island. We are benevolent and wholesome now! Go us!
Also probably just yelling at Katpus that they are building us a Rainbow Death Cannon. Aymi said it is a life cannon actually and that sounds lovely and very thoughtful of us to build!
After negotiations we will either be pillaging the Darshak to secure funding or to take out our frustrations as that seems to be the most ethical option.
Either ways, gonna be greats! We are benevolent and good!
For those who like things in list form I've broken down the captains message. This week on Lore Tour: 1. Talk to some overtly angry quadripeds about building a sanctuary for the ancestors of the people who murdered like 99% of their ancestors (Bring your Orga morphs for laughs) 2. Talk to a notoriously slow builder about a super difficult upcoming project we have for her 3. Facestab Darshak until they give us more loot 4. What could go wrong?
- 20230114: Lore Tour continues Saturday, January 14, 2023 10:00 AM PST. We are planning on helping Tart’targ deliver our gift to Palaegia. We hope to be traveling into Shadowspring, depending on if we get things open beforehand. Otherwise, we might be powering some of the ancient machines.
- 20230111: Lore Tour Followup @Ausrine says: There will be a follow up to Tar'Targ/ Pelaegia gift giving on (OOC Wednesday Jan 11 7PM Pacific Time).
- 20230107: MediaWiki updated to v.1.39.1. As always, please report any unexpected behavior. If you don’t change your theme, the following doesn’t apply. Note: if you change the skin/theme from the current one, I noticed some pages do not render properly. So, if you encounter this, simply change your theme to Vector (2010 or 2022). This should fix the issue.
- 20230107: Lore Tour returns Saturday, January 7, 2023 10:00 AM PST. This time we are planning to deliver Pelaegia's gift to Tart'targ. Update: The Tour was successful!
- 20230104: Update v1310 is here. Secrets abound, and unexplored places wait patiently for exiles to find them.
“There will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how you use them.” — Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900) Here’s wishing everyone a ranky New Year!
2022
- 20221230: Let there be music! Be prepared and mark your calendars for the concert on FRIDAY, 30th December at 1pm pacific time. There will be old and maybe even new music played! — Bingro

If you can't make it during these times, don't worry he will be available to deliver a few days after Bawkmas as well (Gotta love travelling on Bawkmas day!). — Brisk
- 20221217: Lore Tour continues Saturday, December 17, 2022 10:00 AM PST. This time we will be continuing to help Tart'targ search for a gift for Pelaegia in Silversnag Ascent. — Phroon
- 20221210: Lore Tour continues Saturday, December 10, 2022 10:00 AM PST. This time we will be exploring, likely in the Eastern Mountains. What will we find? Who knows! — Phroon
- 20221207: With the 1306 update, A new area is discovered. Cold and Snowy reopens for winter. And new Cloaks are able to be made.
- 20221203: Lore Tour returns Saturday, December 3, 2022 10:00 AM PST. We will be returning again to the Shadowplane, this time to try and track down and defeat the devourer of dreams mentioned by the denizens of the protectorate. As this will be a tough expedition, strong help would be appreciated. — Phroon
- 20221126: The next concert is Nov 26 at the usual time, 11am pacific.— Coriakin
- 20221119: Lore Tour continues Saturday, November 19, 2022 10:00 AM PST. We will be returning to the Shadowplane to continue our explorations and to try and rescue another Lost Dreamer that has been stranded there. As usual, strong help would be appreciated.
- 20221112: **Lore Tour** returns Saturday, November 12th @ 10AM PST (be mindful of the recent US time change). Stinkfist just handed me the following on a scroll with the plan:
> After deliberation and conferment with Kalian, who can't stand the thought of Darshak having nicer things than him, Ambassador Gorvin and his position of Darshak murder is always good, Garr who just wants to burn stuff, and general mad cackling by the Pirate King of Lok'Groton it has been decided that we will return to Ash City to "murder, pillage, and take the fancy things that those nobles brought there" > Loot and pillage and make Kestrel too afraid to EVER leave her tower. There will be loot this time, Stinky has some promising leads on that. A cat witch told him about it in a dream!
— Phroon
- 20221105: Lore Tour returns Saturday, November 5, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. This time we will be retuning to the Shadowplane to continue to explore and view the strange sculptures within. We believe we have discovered a stable way to exit the shadowplane so a depart is no longer certain, but we still could use many strong exiles to help brave the dangers within. — Phroon
- 20221029: Next weekend’s bard concert in the Puddleby Theatre will be Tsirrin themed! Come in costume to enjoy spooks and spoops. Ghosts and shadow madness are a definite maybe, safety not guaranteed. It’ll be at the usual time, Saturday, October 29, 2022 11:00 AM PDT — Coriakin
- 20221022: Lore Tour continues Saturday, October 22, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. This tour will be Feast of Tssrin themed. Come join us in your favorite costume to help bust some ghosts! — Phroon
- 20221015: No worries Phroon. Lore Tour returns 10AM PDT. Stinky says we’re going on a “Classic Pirate Kingly Adventure.” All ye need is to show up with plenty of pack space so we can help our friends out. 🏴☠️ ❣️ Also I want more Vision Stream art, wah wah wah. — Inu Teisei
- 20221008: Lore Tour continues Saturday, October 8, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. We plan to return once again to explore the Shadowplane, this time focusing on exploring the mysterious shadow ocean and lands beyond. Again, strong help will be helpful. Sadly, a way out of the plane has yet to be found, so until it is a depart is certain. — Phroon
- 20221006: H’loi! I expect there will be a meeting between Tar’Targ and Cimmbrion at the lake in Northern Puddleby on Thursday October 6, 2022 7:00 PM PDT. Possibly in Arial Eth'lenn’s home or outside. All exiles are invited to attend. A neutral, third party would be appreciated but you are nai required to act as such. — Ausrine
- 20221001: Lore Tour returns Saturday, October 1, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. We plan to return to the Shadowplane, and explore the strange lands within. Strong help will be helpful in exploring the plane. Luckily we still have loan of Pelaegia’s lantern to calm our minds. A stable path in has been discovered, but we have yet to find a way back home. It is very likely that this will be a one-way trip, EPS and Purgatory Pendants do not seem to work in the Shadowplane. Unless we find another way out, a depart is certain. — Phroon
- 20221029: The next concert will be on Saturday, October 29, 2022 11:00 AM PDT and take place in the theatre. It'll be Feast of Tsirrin themed, so wear a costume! — Coriakin
- 20220924: Alright, then! Bard concert next weekend at Egremora’s tavern, at Saturday, September 24, 2022 11:00 AM (PDT). Bonus points for anyone who brings a song that’s a story. Raks, any chance you can reprise that story about Dandelion and Helpful? 🙂 — Coriakin
- 20220922: It has been 17 years since Tyndall, the beloved sylvan warrior, passed away. He was loved by many in life, and is remembered both as a cherished friend and a Puddlebean legend.
- Every year, we mark this day by coming together to celebrate our memories of Tyndall and our other lost comrades: Baffina and Baffette, slayers of orga; Tonoto, the mapmaker; Eyeball, courageous and funny; K'pyn, the King of Pins.
- We newly grieve the passing of Xenos the Brave and Panos the Boar, who were pillars of our community for decades and will be remembered well as long as we are here to do it. They wished us all “a happy and fruitful life and the good sense to live it with no regrets.”
- Please join us to share memories, whiskey, cigars, beer, songs, and bonfires in the Memorial Garden on September 22, 2022 7:00 PM. All are welcome. If you knew any of these exiles, you are warmly encouraged to attend and to share your stories. If you are grieving someone from outside the lands, know that this is a space where you can hold that in community. If you would like to show love and friendship to exiles who have lost beloved people, know that your presence will do that.
- There are a lot of people who might be interested attending this memorial, but don't keep a close eye on Thoomcare, Discord, or Facebook. If you have the capacity, we invite you to help bring our little town together by reaching out to folks who you think would be interested in coming but won't notice these posts. Thank you! — Largo
- 20220917: Lore Tour continues Saturday, September 17, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. We plan to return to Egremora’s bar in Fountfell, have a few drinks, convey Sarasera’s hellos and talk about repairing the Windweft altar. And maybe if we have time a story or two. — Phroon
- 20220910: Lore Tour continues Saturday, September 10, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. We plan to return again to Shadowspring and continue our investigation into the Pages of Rend and possibly return to the Shadowplane. We will again need strong exiles to travel through Shadowspring and brave the dangers of the Shadowplane. We will need to try to stay nearer the sun lantern, lest we all slowly go mad and lash out at our friends. — Phroon
- 20220907: The v1293 update is scheduled for Wednesday 7 September 2022.
- 20220903: Lore Tour continues Saturday, September 3, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. Our plan is to return to the depths of Shadowspring Citadel, investigate the shadows, read some triangles, visit with Pelaegia, and if we can make it check on the Agronox Seal. As always, Shadowspring is filled with difficult creatures and we could use a strong group.
Many thanks to all those who have charged the ancients machines recently, your help has been instrumental in making this happen. — Phroon
- 20220827: Monthly Bard Concert Saturday. 11AM PDT.
- 20220820: Lore Tour continues Saturday, August 20, 2022 10:00 AM (PDT). Some time ago we had contact with Darshak from Gathner led by Kestrel and her associate Dorcas. We will be visiting them with our chosen ambassador Gorvin to conduct further negotiations regarding the future of Darshak in our island chain. See Ambassador Gorvin for details. — Phroon
- 20220813: Lore Tour continues Saturday, August 13, 2022 10:00 AM PDT. We plan on continuing our checking of the ancient machines, and our search for changes made by the ancient spelling and grammar checking machine. We’ve already observed some changes in the triangles and we suspect there might be a few more changes to be found. We will be trying to visiting Heartwood Glade in the Vale of Giants, and revisiting Sunspire, so some strong help will be appreciated. — Phroon
- 20220827: Bard Concert “Next concert August 27 at the same time!” — Coriakin
- 20220806: Lore Tour returns Saturday, August 6, 2022 10:00 AM (PDT). We plan on revisiting some of the ancient machines in the Eastern Mountains, checking to see if the shadows are there and if any of them might be that Ancient spelling and grammar checking machine. We plan on visiting some of the tougher machines to get to, so strong help would be appreciated. — Phroon
- 20220730: Bard Concert: on Saturday July 30th at 11am pacific time, but it won’t be in the bards’ field. Instead head over to west town near Prometha’s bonfire for our beach party themed concert! Enjoy sun, sand, and surf while enjoying songs about sun, sand, and surf. Wear your best beach attire and get ready to cuddle in close because there won’t be a stage. See you then!
- (For bards who don’t have many/any beach-themed songs, other music’s fine. But if you’ve got something - great!)
- 20220723: Lore Tour: Astral Projection Shenanigans Saturday, July 23, 2022 10:00 AM
- Today’s lore tour followed Stinkfist’s guidance and ended up on a trip through a variety of…. peculiar locations. First a dark cave filled with mauling and crushing spirits, then to a desolate peak floating in the sky, to a trool village, and beyond. Eventually we ended up in a marsh with some meshra interested in trade, and a strange obelisk that hummed inanely in thoomish. Stinkfist decided we needed to steal it, but an attempt to astrally project it back to Puddleby went awry and we ended up in the shadowplane instead! We were led to a giant shadowplane-ish statue of, er, me. I'm still puzzling that out. But before we knew it we ended up back in the Puddleby mushroom hut, with the obelisk there! Unfortunately, the obelisk was right in the middle of the pool there and promptly sank. — Coriakin
- 20220714 — created template sitenavbar (using quick links). To insert it in pages use sitenavbar between a set of 2 curly braces “{{}}”.
- 20220706 — The v1284 happened on Wednesday, July 6, 2022
- 20220702 — Lore Tour continues Saturday, July 2, 2022 10AM PST/5PM UTC. We’re continuing the search for luminous scales and a sun wyrm’s shadow. Or search will take us back to Gungla Island and the dark places within. — Phroon
- 20220625 — Next Bard Concert: June 25, 2022 11AM PST, 2PM EST
- 20220618 — Lore Tour continues Saturday, June 18, 2022 10:00 AM (PST). Our plan this time is to follow up on rumors of new caves in the Rocky Cavern and search for clues for the luminous scales. — Phroon
- 20220611 — Lore Tour: “plans are still a bit vague, as they may change depending on what happens. The general plan is to:
1) visit Tart’targ so Aurelie can deliver Cimmbrion’s message (and hopefully defuse some of the hostilities).
2) Visit Strangler Fig to try to get more information about the Book of Rend or about the books that the shadowguild stole from her.
3) Visit the rocky cavern to talk to the Sun Wyrm there and ask about acquiring luminous scales. Rumor has it that it requested a “dance with the shadows” or something along those lines, so I’m really hoping people come up with a better idea than “Make Coriakin Try To Summon Shadows” which was already suggested. Not by me.” — Coriakin
- 20220604 - Lore Tour June 4th. Destination Windweft Mountain. (plan pictured left) UPDATE: “Lore Tour successfully fought an evil armored bear likely infested with shadows that was trying to usurp Birosson’s place as chieftain of the glacier bears. Mehan’s armor was dinged to destruction, sadly, but at least it’s not being used for nefarious purposes. Or by nefarious porpoises.” — Coriakin
- 20220521 - Lore Tour May 21 at the usual time: 10am PDT/1pm EDT, 7pm CEST/UTC+2. “Coriakin reports: Next week's Lore Tour will be to the Vale to try to find Master Spruce. On the way, we hope to visit Strangler Fig for a quick chat. May 21, 10am PDT”
- 20220514 - Lore Tour (10AM PST)

3/26/2012: I have implemented a self-signed security (SSL) certificate that enables HTTPS to protect passwords and thus accounts. All links should redirect to https now. I would like to get an official certificate when expenses allow it, but just the static IP is ~ $50/year. Most browsers will warn people visiting about it, but it is legitimate, but check it out to make sure it is of the proper origin first. (Only a player could have made it.) Also, the new home of the CLUMP is on clanlord.net in case you never look at the URL address bar.
2/27/2012: Yet another long hiatus. I was informed by Talas that he couldn't edit pages. I looked into it and realized that I upgraded the underlying PHP to 5.3.x but not MediaWiki to comply with the changes. BAD ADMINISTRATOR! For now, I've reverted to PHP 5.2.x and pages are now editable. I'll try not to be so sloppy next time I update the underlying structure. Unfortunately, my attention has been diverted as I investigate and evaluate various technologies to handle possible Clan Lord and other non-CL projects I've been considering beginning. I am thinking about implementing the Zend2 framework for a CL timeline site, but it is still in Beta. If you know Zend2 or just Zend, any online resources you think would be valuable to look at to speed learning/evaluating them would be welcome. noi... at noi... dot net is a good contact address for that.
2011
9/8/2011: Long hiatus as I worked on refining my PHP skills by building a site from scratch, and not related to the CLUMP2. I've been gone for a bit and haven't had time to update. Luckily others have filled in a bit. Please send me feedback on pages you'd like and unclear explanations. If you're a professional writer or a really good amateur, I'd appreciate your input as well.
Also, I'm kicking around the idea of making a CL timeline in PHP. I'm kicking around ideas. If you'd like to discuss please goto the coffee and donuts section of the Sentinel.
2010
8/25-27/2010: clump2.noivad.net transition made! new URL! Fresh, unspoiled DB!
Currently moving all data to a new DB. Unfortunately all accounts will be destroyed, to remake an account contact me directly with your email address for confirmation. Contributors, please do not make pages without any connection to other pages, or any pages to "protect" them.--Mwadmin 06:02, 25 August 2010 (PDT)
7/27/10: Registration has been stopped. Accounts are created by request only now.
7/06/10: Welcome Arindal Immigrants.
2009
1/18/09: Welcome back old players and welcome new players. Clan Lord now has no monthly fees. New Areas and new Islands abound in the last few years. Ask about Death Trap Noids (DTN), Metzetli Island (Metz), and The Mountain Glen (Glen) for a look at all the changes. If you remember Tenebrion he's been trapped in the Ethereal Plane (EP) for a few years. Fighters have 3 subclasses now: Champions, Rangers and Bloodmages. Healers just recently acquired 2 new tools! There are many minor changes as well. Catch up with what's been happening at Thoomcare.
2008
8/11/08: A new page entitled 10 Things for Groups is available to peruse at your leisure. Aura Healing ability needs a page, aside from the Radium as do Blood Mages.
6/19/08: One Step Closer The CLUMP is one step closer to being a legitimate entity. I found a cheap ssl cert site, RapidSSL, and we now has internets certificates! Also, in order to pay for said certificate, I added a paypal donate button to the donations page in case anyone ever visits it.
6/3/08: "Oh that crazy Org!"
I updated links to Org Du Lac's Bestiary after I noticed that he updated his site to php a while back and I never updated the links. We've already got php, It's very nice!
Double checked that the database this puppy runs on is backed up every night after many months of blind faith. looks good! See >>>>
Minor diction change: I now prefer the term "creature" to refer to anything that you kill for experience. I'll slowly roll that out as I notice it in the pages.
10 things for groups is taking shape and I may include Michael's version of what not to do in groups, edited for language of course. (Interestingly enough some of the topics he covers ARE mentioned in the notorious How NOT to handle bad situations subsection of group hunting.
We're up to 86 pages! Wow! Only a few of which are not used. I'll be trimming down the unused pages soon. If you have pages that you don't want deleted that aren't being used. Please link them to another page so I know not to touch them.
'Til next time! Same Thoom time same Thoom channel!
6/2/08: Updated a few pictures and links. More Links are welcome. A Mystic page was added. Currently compiling player suggestions for 10 things for hunting in groups at [The Sentinel]. Please feel free to add to the discussion there.
Miscellaneous
Input is welcome on the Discord Server or anywhere.
Thank you to everyone that has contributed so far. I've read over your changes and It's obvious some people are a lot clearer writers than me, also I like the healer perspective being fleshed out in the healing section, particularly the rodding section.
Additions
Also, I've just added a new Appendix: Command Reference.
11/27 Updated the Wiki to version 1.8.2. This should mean nothing to you, just thought I'd note it.
12/5 The Clump will be temporarily offline for a few days in the next week or two. It will return to its regularly scheduled serving as soon as possible. I'll update the Sentinel when it goes offline.
1/17 Updated to MediaWiki 1.8.3 because of a vulnerability in the system that could allow session information such as passwords be redirected to another site. 1.8.3 deals with this problem. there should be no noticeable change in using the CLUMP to users.
2/23 I've updated to MediaWiki 1.9.3 everything seems to work that I've checked. if you experience anomalies or can't log in. mail noivad -at- mac -dot- com. I had to update because there was a security issue, and we all know how much we like things not to be spammed and taken over.
3/15 I've added little things like external links to other's pages within the manual instead of just the links section to make it more expansive and interactive. I'll continue to do this as I come across places to link things to. I also encourage people to add clan lord related links to the manual and links page.
-The manual is pretty well fleshed out and more accurate thanks to contributors now, and updates made by me will be less frequent, but that doesn't mean I'm going to neglect it. It's my mission to keep this manual as current and accurate as possible without spoiling too much.
-I'm trying to get a mystic section with what knowledge they can share, but there appears to be considerable resistance to even basic info within the council, and without their approval I'm holding off on even trying to get any information.
6/13 Updated to MediaWiki 1.10.0 e-mail me with any problems... besides trying to get the e-mail to work (unless you know a solution) or have a link with info about fixing it.
6/14 After a long and arduous adventure e-mail from the CLUMP is now active. All users please verify your e-mail address given because I'm turning on an option to require e-mail address verification before one can edit.
12/02/07: Updated to MediaWiki 1.11.
1/29/08: Updated to MediaWiki 1.11.1 -- Security vulnerability patched.

To Add Basic explanation of trainers: Atkus uses up more balthus, Darkus slows down regia, Evus teaches a bit of everything, but the atkus to balthus ratio is tilted to eat balance slowly. Virtually no fighter trainers are "pure" trainers, most have a mixture of other elements in them.
Wanted
Wanted: Info on Radium, anything you find missing! Thanks to Kenegluk for pointing out holes in coverage!
Iriel Red contributed a book for the logo, and in my humble opinion made a great logo for the CLUMP.
I'd like to get information on knights and knight items since I often get asked that by exiles looking to become one. So, if any knights out there want to share, please make a page with the answers. (:
